Hello everyone, remember I said in the previous article that MLT will be moving to a greater height this year. We are going to be touching lives in different areas.
I read an article the other day, about the son of a billionaire who fell in love with a lady. Well, such stories aren’t meant to get any second glances these days right? Yeah. But, since the title of the article actually read, “Billionaire son, Adam, found love in this pretty woman. Does anybody know who she is?” That question must have had every reader studying the face of the woman the same way scientists study specimen. When did having a high social, or financial status become a prerequisite for falling in love?
Once upon a time, I fell in love with a great guy and he felt the same way about me too. He invited me to his family’s party. It was a grand event. I was introduced to quite a number of BIG NAMES, including his parents. During these introductions, I was frequently asked who my parents were and their occupations and I told them the same thing repeatedly, just like a broken record. I told them, with self confidence and pride, who my parents are and what they do. I had a quiet, good time at the party. Anyway, not until a few days later that I got to know we couldn’t work out anymore, because they did not acknowledge my great parents. It hurt so bad.
If God actually looked at how low we are compared to His standards, well, I guess the scripture would have been written as: while we were yet sinners, Christ refused to die for us. We would all have missed on His salvation. One thing I know about real love is that it doesn’t care about where you are coming from or what you are, it just happens to you! If everyone loved because of financial status or name, then, who would love the orphans, the homeless, and less privileged? The bible says, “love your neighbour as yourself.” There is no condition of position or class attached to it.
I would appreciate your opinion on this matter too. The question is: should love come with a prerequisite?

No matter how low our background is we should never forget that they Actually made us who we are Today, we should be proud to tell people who our parents r, our parents prayer is for us to be greater and Bigger than they are. Lastly Love unconditionally

The love of money has indeed pierced this family.. Losing YOU as a possible daughter was but one payment to God. Only He will decide what other sorrow this family will endure.
Be thankful to God, He did not allow you into this family.

Some of these fake people have short memories because either the husband or wife musta been poor but they forget quickly. The World is just a funny place. If love were to be chosen with requirements, then I’d say its better to not be so rich, cos u sure will have character, be independent and mature and self-confident. Ur story makes us see that d guy too didn’t say otherwise wen his parents said no. “He’ll always be dat small in sense.”

Samuel, that is so true and you know that’s why even though we would be so rich, we must make a difference by God’s grace. It takes God’s grace to be rich and humble at the same time.

Thank God for 1cor 13….which explains in detail exactly what love is….love really has no prerequisite…cos God says HE is LOVE…so i guess God is the only pre requisite for love….and as for the guy that parted ways cos of his parent….anyway like i know there is always a better Adam……May God help us all and engrace us with his wisdom…

The reason why many times the love of people always have a comma or a prerequisite is simply because God is not in that love. There is no way you can practice love without God. The ideal love has been given a pseudo-meaning. It’s become selfish, logical and vane. A good post. I believe more people need to be taught what love really is.

Love should come with no strings attached !! Jesus gives all of us His unconditional love, and His grace and mercy that we don’t deserve, if we are His children… If we can obey Jesus’ first 2 most important commandments (Matthew 22:36-40) the rest of life will fall into place…
